The planning team in Vanzylsrus (Northern Cape) has announced a community celebration to mark the completion of the Vulture Geoglyph, one of the largest geoglyphs in South Africa. The event, scheduled for 9 May 2026, will include a marathon and cycling event, musical performances, and community activities.
The initiative aims to support local tourism development, conservation awareness, and community upliftment. Proceeds from the day will assist in compensating workers involved in the geoglyph construction and in supporting local initiatives.
